Hi folks,
this is something I saw briefly referred to on another forum, to which I now seem to have lost the link
It was stated that application of heat (to the feet was the example being used) can result in increased sensitivity eg to tickling - and (I presume) mild pain/stimulation.
I would like to try this, but *safely* and would appreciate any advice along those lines, or a link to somewhere it has been discussed
In particular - what kind of heat source is safe to use? (thinking maybe like a newly-filled hot water bottle with no cover?), and is any heightened sensitivity temporary or permanent? oh, and is it also safe to use on another part of the anatomy - eg the boobs, for example?
thanks in advance for any help

what does heat do ?
it increases the bloodflow in the "heated areas" and so the sensitivity of your nerve receptors in that skin area.
so it is not permanent.
and of coursae heat in this context means mild heat, not scalding hot water, for example.
a red-light lamp should be enuff to try it out safely.

I'd also suggest you avoid fan-heaters or hair-driers. Why ? well, I was just drying off after a shower and my CB was a little damp so I applied the hair-drier, thinking it was "benign". It took a few seconds for me to realise this was a "bad move" ! as the heat didn't hit me immediately. No damage, but a timely reminder.

I could just see it...
You're hopping around, saying a few choice words and phrases, and the best solution, is to hop back into the shower to cool off...
(cartoon steam rising from the overheated metal..)
Then you gota get out and dry off again!
(without the creative use of the hair dryer...)
What where you thinking man??? It's a "hair" dryer!!!
I doubt you have hair there!!!
All advice is checked, re-checked and verified to be questionable...

i surely hope this was the polycarbonate one, not the metal one. that would have been really nasty.

Hey, It's nice to know who my friends are...you can all stop laughing now!
and yes, fortunately a CB3000 and the minimally exposed skin got the message first and polyvcarbonate is a good insulator and heat doesn't travel through it very well! But I won't be repeating the exercise
