I know I should have spare laces but I keep putting it off. I am shopping around on the internet but I was thinking someone might be able to help me save some time. Most of the suspenders I'm finding online look very cheap.
I will look at a camping store for a roll/spool. I can always pick up some Ritz dye to blacken it. I occasionally wear mine under clothes but I am so self conscious about it that I usually talk myself out of it before I leave the house. Funnt how I can run a 10K race in a crowd wearing tiny shorts and a sport top but I worry about someone seeing my sexy undies. Go figure. Oh... my bad. I misunderstood. I thought the hook coupled with the fact that you are an exceptionally good tight lacer meant I could really lean into it. I've always slipped my laces over an interior doorknob. I couldn't apply that much tension or they would slip off. Now I feel bad, sort of like I've abused a friend. For some reason, yesterday was a day of whimsy (or possibly extremes?). I wanted to pull the corset tight just to see how tiny I could get my waist. I was even thinking about getting out the tape measure before the lace broke. I also used a blindfold, which is a little out of the ordinary for me. Maybe it's the cooler weather.Ah ha! It's never good to put weight on the laces, even with the hook. I only use it to keep the tension on them so the corset won't open by itself. If you have to put that much weight on it to keep it closed, it's probably bad for the corset too.
