Bondage is self bondage, with a partner?

That’s an interesting point. I tend to think of it more strictly as who’s doing the binding. My wife is more than willing to play with me, but she doesn’t feel as confident in the actual process of laying out restraints and deciding what will go where. So often times when we’re going to play I basically lay everything out like a self bondage session, complete with keys. Then I just use her as a release mechanism. And usually there’s a bunch of fun before the release. But I dunno…. I guess it’s still self bondage? Because she’s not doing any of that part? I suppose this is sort of an interesting philosophical question.
