Oh those are nice boots. They look a bit like my old riding boots but for smart or casual wear and not covered in muck and smelly from the stables lol.

I would not call them high heels personally more like a low or mid height heel. They are from NEXT https://www2.next.co.uk/g65591s1/u34345
Look very comfortable, I like those boots which have a little more room for walking around in like a day out shopping. Classic black too.

I like NEXT they have nice clothes. I buy my suits for work from there but they are mostly trousers suits so for a skirt suit I normally have to buy a jacket and a skirt. But still very nice and nice range of colours, not as frumpy as some shops.

Thanks Lisa, I love them. A bit of a splurge, but sooo comfy!!

I’m a big fan of Next too. Their smart clothes are great, but sizing is often a hit or a miss! I got a pair of wide leg trousers and a pencil skirt, both in a 12. The skirt fits great, but the trousers are huge!!

The online store is good - so many other good brands with next day delivery to store. I also like Mango, but their delivery takes ages direct, so I’m pleased Next stock them.

I’ve got my eye on a Celtic & Co midi kilt, but not sure I can justify £135 on a skirt

I wish those sorts of boots came in my size at even halfway affordable prices... Alas, my mens size 10.5 (with wide forefoot) is never going to fit in any size they offer.

I feel your pain. Whilst my feet are not that long - 8-9 UK - they are quite broad which makes finding suitable women's shoes difficult.

Oh, why can’t sizing be consistent!! It’s such a pain buying my regular size only to get home and find I need to return what I’ve just bought!! I wish I had the courage to try on in store, or someone to come shopping with me :(

If it's shoes you're referring to, have you seen this thread? viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3595

I’m going on a proper shopping trip tomorrow and want to show off my new boots. I can’t choose what to wear though

I’ve narrowed it down to a classy, straight from work, black pencil skirt or a red/brown print pleated midi. What should I wear?

I think everyone will vote for the pencil skirt. Wearing a keyboard with nothing else in public might bring trouble.

Not sure about everyone, but my vote is for the pencil skirt as well :)

Looks like the pencil skirt is the popular choice

Looks pretty windy so a pleated skirt may have been a bit of a handful!! If it’s really wild I might even do the more modest thing and go for my black wide leg trousers and some shoes.

Just so folk are sure though, here’s pics of the skirts I’m torn between. This is kind of the styles I like too

I like the first one style in general, very cute.
