Software that limits time on computer?

is there a software that limits how much time i can spend on my computer?

I am trying to set up a scenario where i can use my computer during bondage, but only for a limited time.

Windows 10 has "family options" that lets you set a timer or restrict computer usage on certain times or days, and that's exactly what i need. However the Windows 10 family settings is very cumbersome to use because i need to register an extra account and then have to switch back and forth between the admin account and user account. Besides its really easy for me to remember the 4 digit PIN-code for the admin account, so its not really useful as a self-bondage tool.

So i am looking for a software that lets me put on a timer on my computer without the hassle of registering multiple accounts, and it must also be possible for me to forget the admin password so i simply cant unlock the timer.

Is there such a software?

Those sound promising, but can you amend the setting whilst you have access to the computer or just restart it immediately? If you are using a desktop with no battery, a simple way to do it might be to just use a plug in timer to power it. Make sure the timer is out of reach when you are in bondage. Set an alarm of some sort to warn you a couple of minutes before the power goes off, so you have time to shut down. If you are using Windows I suppose it might force an update, which might be a problem. One possibility might be just to shut of the power to the monitor. If you only want to stop yourself accessing the web, perhaps you could turn off your router, although some routers take a very long time (days) to get properly organised again if they are turned off for too long. Another possibility might be to use a cable connection, turn off the wifi on your router and make sure you cannot remember the password to tun it back on again. Pass the connection through a network switch and switch off the power to that. You only need a cheap one. You should be able to get on for a few$/£/Euro.

Thanks for your contribution Shannon Steelslave and Keyless :)

I checked both of the links, but they are simply to easy to override.

The "Shutdown timer classic" comes with a option to use a PIN-code in order to deativate the timer. However you can just use the task manager to shut down the app altogether.
Using console commands to put on a timer is possible, but as far as i know there is no option to put on a password, so the timer can easily be turned of.

The hardware approach that Keyless suggested is possible, but it will require that i will have to rewire my entire room, so i prefer to use software if possible

The only solution i can come up with is to use the Windows Family Options. I will try to install Windows 10 on 2 separate computers.

Computer 1 will be the admin computer. This computer will be an old laptop, and after i have installed Windows and activated the Familiy Options, this computer will be stoved away
Computer 2 will be the slave computer. I will have to set up a child account and link it to Computer 1 with the family settings.

Again this is a very cumbersome setup because it requires 2 computers, but so far its the only option with high enough security.

A version in the genre of Keyless.
If you have a room where you can put the computer behind and close the door.

With me the basement room leads to my office and I could put the computer in the basement connected via a timer that switches the computer without power after a certain time. Only the screen cable goes under the cellar door and the keyboard and mouse are connected via bluetooth.
The cellar door key is in a kitchen safe. Or with an electronic padlock connected to a fixed object so that you cannot use the key to the cellar within a certain time.
5 minutes before the end time, you set an alarm to go off, which warns you to turn off the computer; he gets knocked out anyway after those 5 minutes with no possibility of reactivating the power as long as you cannot use the cellar key.

I'm an IT professional and I can already guarantee you, there is nothing you can do that is impossible to remove if you know how it works or are skilled enough if you are the only person on the computer.

The only real way this can be accomplished is if there is a second person you know that you can trust them with a user account on your computer.

You trust them with the only administrator useraccount, and you can then use group policy to setup logon hours on your own user. This effectively only allows you to logon to the computer during the indicated time, and once that time passes, windows will give you a predefined amount of time to save your work before it will log you out. Once logged out, you cannot login again until the policy allows you, or you know the password of another account that is allowed.

Group Policy on a non-domain joined pc requires Windows 10 Professional or above. Windows 10 Home does not have gpedit.

Do note that if you gave me a pc with this setup, I would still be skilled enough to break in. Then again, if I have physical access to any windows computer, there's a 99.8% chance I can break one way or the other.

Kinbaku's method of cutting the power is actually not too hard to accomplish and is probably the only reliable way to ensure that you get kicked off the computer. But even then, if you have a spare cable, one could technically replace the cable and connect it to another outlet, so you really do have to put the computer in a locked case.

It would actually be possible to create a switch with a long cable that you can place outside of the locked storage closet where the computer is at, setup a relay switch in the cable that is active as long as it is supplied with power, but is deactivated once the power runs out. This makes it so that, when you are allowed to use the computer, and the computer is indeed powered, you can use the button to turn it on and off like normal without having physical access to the case it self, only the powerbutton. But once the power runs out by the timer, the button no longer turns the computer on or off either. Hmm, actually a computer without power will not turn on anyway... So you don't have to make that button a relay switch anyway. Just extend the button's wire and relocate the powerbutton.

Keep an eye on the temperatures though. A computer that gets too warm will crash often. So ensure that the computer's closet has some form of ventilation.

As Slave_L says, an IT specialist can always work around it. That's why I chose to put the computer and timer out of reach of everyone in the basement. I think this is the only quick method that makes editing impossible.
Any room that you can shut off that has an outlet in the room and that allows the screen cable to pass under the door can serve.
If a power cable can also be placed under the door, the room in question does not need a power outlet. The only condition is that the timer is also in the room near the computer and both are out of reach for anyone who does not have the access key to the door.

I have my phone rooted. I can easily reboot and flash a custom rom to it, yup, I can get out of that app too.

Thanks. Thats precisely the kind of software i was looking for. Unfortunatly i found a way to bypass it.
