Why???
Lisa
Because I need milk for the coffee.
(Natural fallacy: I always drink my coffee without milk and sugar  ).
That's just how I take my tea, anyone want a cup?
 oh god he's back

Just thought I'd get that in before anyone else does.

Long time ago I was returning from London when work had forced the train to make a detour. The boat was still docked, but I was no longer allowed on it by customs. So it was an overnight stay on a wooden bench at the harbor station. :(
But it was even worse in Belgium: because it was Sunday, there were no trains and I had to wait until noon for a train to the capital city Brussels and then wait 2 hours for a connection to my hometown. :(

Don't you have trains on a Sunday in Belgium?

Yes, but very little at that time in the winter. So during winter mornings there were no trains going inland on Sundays. Only afternoon.
And only going to Antwerpen and Brussel, 2 capital cities of Belgium. So the only option was to go there to have more train connections to other parts of the country. :(

There use to be an advert on UK tv for train travel that used the slogan "let the train take the strain", it didn't last long.
A common anti slogan to it was " Traveling far, better by car" & "Want to be on time, don't use the rail line". :)

It could worse.

In the USA, Amtrak. Lately (pun intended) they've had a LOT of very long delays and even cancellations (mostly equipment failures).

So Sunday trains in Belgium are a far cry better than Amtrak any day of the week...

That's probably 'cause people keep leaving things on the tracks ...
