It used to happen occasionally, but lately it's worse than AOL on a dial-up modem. Oh wait, I take that back- access was more reliable back in the ancient days of dial-up. Whoever is responsible needs to be "corrected". :whip: :-D

yes, it's a nuisance when the site is slow, but...

do remember this is a free site, provided by Anna at her expense, supported by volunteers, so bear in mind that servers and traffic cost money, but being a member here costs you nothing, andaccept the occasional glitch

I am very, very sorry for the outages and the frustration it causes. I find it totally unacceptable that things like this should happen 2019.

We will most likely go down again as the issue has still not been corrected. You can track the server status here: https://status.servage.net/

The atomic plunger is desperately needed. :whip:

The server issues should now be officially solved. Again, my humble apologize for this debacle. It was out of my control but irritating, frustrating and hair bleaching nevertheless.

Things seem to be very fast and smooth on my end for the last few days. Thank you for putting in the effort Anna!

FWIW, I had a period a couple of hours ago where the site didn't respond. Dunno if the server still has issues or if this was just random internet problems.
Again, my humble apologize for this debacle. It was out of my control but irritating, frustrating and hair bleaching nevertheless.
You have nothing to apologise for.

Slow going again. How slow? Check this out:
composing private message.JPG
I have literally never seen myself doing anything on this screen except "seeing who is online". It's like the "Time to make the donuts" guy, who ran into himself leaving as he was coming in.
Did I mention somewhere that bots seem to like self bondage scenarios? (I couldn't have faked this picture) Do they even know that TENS units will kill them? Let's keep recommending scenarios with TENS and eradicate them.
In case the server people are reading this, it only takes a nano second to fire up my light saber. I can do it in mid-back flip. Jussayin' is all. :whip:

The server gods are definitely unhappy again. Who do we have to sacrifice this time?

Also, it's unexpectedly logged me out a couple of times recently.

I just got a few delayed responses myself.

Fortunately, FIrefox is patient.

Good to meet you, Ruru. Cool avatar too.
In your experience, what are the requirements of our sacrificial member? Minimum post count, seniority, or can we just throw anyone in the volcano?
It's so great that we can still have fun in the face of a dilemma like this. Happy hunting, everyone.
