Welcome to the forum!
They seem quite expensive!
Depending on your needs, there are several DIY ice locks posted here that might do the job with less expense.
Use the search box at the top right of each page and enter "ice lock". You'll get a surprising number of results.
Have fun and see you around the threads.
Jenny.

I am not familiar with that shop and do not remember seeing anyone else mention them here. The prices seem reasonable to me compared to other ice-lock sellers, but still more money than I am willing to spend on such a device.

If you need some thing before your ice lock is at your home: use a plastic kitchen bag - that you can close so water that is inside stays there - with ice inside. Put this in a towel to collect the condensation water. Pull it through a ring and tie a rope around the towel and plastic bag like this.
This way you have a ice lock with very little water on your floor.
Re: I'm looking for a Ice Lock!
A cheap and effective solution is to take a plastic bottle that has a handle or distinct neck - washing liquid, conditioner etc. - dangle a length of chain to the bottom of it, perhaps with a couple of washers on to add some width, fill with water and freeze. Perhaps add the water in a couple of balloons or condoms to avoid splashing. Then attach the bottle to something like the leg of the bed and the chain to your wrist cuff or whatever.
Time it first - I tried it with a 1.5l or 2l coke bottle and it took 14 hours to release which would have been quite a long day chained to the bed if I hadn't tested first.

I used a U bolt that I sawed off because they didn't have a J bolt when I built mine. Or you can look here: https://www.amazon.com/National-Hardwar ... C98&sr=8-4

Re: I'm looking for a Ice Lock!
If instead of a washer you attach a plate between 2 nuts and put the water in a closed balloon, you will not have a problem with water as with most ice locks. Make sure that an opening remains free so that the melted water can move aside.John-A wrote: ↑05 Dec 2023, 21:14 Check out my DIY version here.
