Nipple Clamp advice please

Hello,
As new to using nipple clamps I wanted to know how long can I keep them on for? I have just bought some online and I just wanted to know if there is a safety time period that you shouldn't go past etc I have used cloths pegs in the past but only had them on for 10 to 15 minutes.

Regards
Darryl

Depends on what type of clamps - the issue is the pressure on the skin and tissues underneath, and the restriction of blood flow.

Anything that restricts blood flow is potentially damaging but you need to be realistic. Conventional clothes-pegs are unlikely to do any real damage no matter how long they are on. Clover clamps are much more serious as they are stronger and also localise the pressure into a small area. Then there are clamps using a screw thread to tighten them, and these could kill the tissues by stopping blood flow completely.

So as the liklihood of stopping blood flow rises, the time should shorten, but giving actual times is impossible as we are all different and we don't know the exact type of clamp.

I've experienced some very strong stainless steel imitations of stubby clothes-pegs for about 15 minutes. The nipples were white, on removal of the clamps, but recovered within a few minutes - well, the colour did, they were sensitive for a day or so. Then clover clamps, pulled under tension to tighten, pulled off, replaced and the cycle repeated a half-dozen times, very painful and took the surface skin off but recovered over a day or so.

One way of determining the safe time is to stop when you can no longer feel the clamp. First, you are getting no fun, and second, it suggests the nerves have stopped functioning, which implies a loss of blood-flow.

As a rough guide, I'd say an hour is too long, half an hour is probably OK for all but the most serious clamps. But it helps if you are a masochist

That's about it - a half hour tops. For me it's about twenty minutes. They're not really meant for long-term use (unless, as lj says, you're a real masochist). Clover clamps (AKA fabric clamps if you get them at the fabric store  ) are much more entertaining than clothes pegs. Painfully entertaining.

But the fun part about nipple clamps is that your nipples still hurt after you take the clamps off! They're the gift that keeps on giving.

the link works :D

those shouldn't be much of a problem regarding blood circulation as the contact area is quite narrow - though tightened up full they may well be a challenge on the pain front !

Thank you and glad the link worked :) well they arrived today and did a quick try out and you are very right the go from a very light nip to a full OMG pain which i need to build up to but I think on a low setting I could enjoy these for a good half hour plus on the lightest setting I mean :)

Darryl

Aloha from Bound Anna, Ayushiest.
How about we keep the cat out of this and try employing a robot vacuum cleaner for this purpose? viewtopic.php?f=12&t=14015

Indeed.

First, cats can be highly unpredictable in their actions when in a stressful or other situation where they feel threatened or uneasy. Sharp claws and even sharper teeth are effective weapons!

Second, using a cat or any other animal in this manner *might* be considered animal cruelty by some people, who would use the services of a lawyer (or are lawyers themselves), with all the human complications that entails (some are particularly litigious - no wonder Shakespeare had it in for them).

Use an oscillating fan and some string to alternately pull on your nipples as it swings left and right.

Jenny.

Welcome to BoundAnna, ayushiest.

Maybe your friend can use a radio controlled motor car for nipple play.
Or
Just connect the strings from the clamps to the driving tyres in the air for a real nip-ripper.
(This is not self bondage safety)
