Wrist Suspension Bondage

Post by RubyQhou »

I wanted to know how long a person can stay in wrist suspension bondage with suspension cuffs on. I know there are a lot of factors involved like weight (140 lbs).

The method I am using is I have a 30 gallon plastic drum that weighs 19 pounds, the rope is attached to the drum, the climbing rope has a tensile strength of 8,000 lbs. the rope is thrown over the rafters in my garage. I slowly fill up the drum at 1 gallon per minute by using 5 gallon buckets (6 in all) that are sitting on a board on the rafters. After 30 minutes the 30 gallon barrel is full of water and weighs 268 pounds. I have a 25 foot house attached to the bottom of the drum, I use the ice release method to drop the middle of the hose so the water flows down the drain, it takes 30 minutes for the water to drain out of the drum. After the drum weighs 100 pounds or so I can release myself. I make the rope long enough to hold my wrists above my head. So far I have not made it short enough to do suspension bondage.

That's an ingenious system you have there to entrap and release yourself. You have strong rope and indubitably a strong suspension point. I suspect that the weak point is in the cuffs themselves. The big risk in suspension bondage is the fall (actually, the landing...). When something does break, it's usually suddenly and one is never in a position to react quickly enough.

The main factor in endurance in this particular position is physical stamina. Try hanging from a bar (with your hands) with your feet off the ground and see how long you can hold out like that.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, you're using the drum of water as a counterweight. It forces you to keep your arms over your head because you aren't strong enough to lift 268lbs off the garage floor. That seems like a good system to me. :D My concern with shortening the rope, is that you said you weigh approximately 140 lbs. If the drum is counter-weighting your entire body weight, as soon as enough water drains out of it, it's going to lift off the floor and you will lower to the floor. I don't see this as a concern if you are 6 inches off the floor, but if you are 6 feet off the floor, I'd be concerned about the rate of descent. What with garage floors usually being cement/concrete, you stand a good chance of getting injured.

That being said, I think your release system is very clever. I'd love to use my garage for the same purpose, but there is a window facing the apartment building... Anyway, I think it would be worth an experiment or two to see how quickly it will drop you. I'd fill the drum with maybe 18-20 gallons of water, drop the hose and just hang from the rope. My math says that it will take slightly less than 17 gallons to counterweight you, so in a few minutes at the most, it will let you down.

Worst case scenario, it drops you too fast and you can't use it for suspension. But you still have a clever release method for a lot of other applications. :)

SO cover the window! Cardboard and thumbtacks, a towel, sheet, whatever.

Lol I wish it was that easy! My garage and my neighbor's garage is basically one large open bay that we agreed where the dividing line was. So sure, I can cover the window, but I'd rather not explain to my hot neighbor why her ten year old son found me all tied up in the garage. And before you take it as a bridge to getting her into it, she is, unfortunately, married, so no dice.

Code: Select all

The rafters are 8 feet off the floor so I will be 6 inches off the ground. When I start, I am laying on the ground with my hands in the air, and after 10-15 minutes the Drum forces me to stand up. Since the drum acts like a counter weight it will slowly put you on the floor.

What I am working on now is a way to delay the water filling up in the drum for 2-3 hours while I am in a sleeping bag, sleeping in the Garage with the lights off and me in the wrist cuffs after 2-3 hours the drum will start to fill up at either a quarter to half a gallon per minute. The tricky part is the ice timer. What I am thinking about doing is using an electromagnet to release the valve on an Enema bag with 6 houses from the 5 gallon buckets going into the bag and the house going into the drum. I would also use another electromagnet to drop the 25 foot hose.

depends on what kind of cuffs you use.

ImageImage

the latter ones with the would allow more support & less circulation cutoff as long as you are able to grip & pull a bit.

I will create an illustration sometime next week in Photoshop to show you guys how to set it up. My husband is out of town Monday - Thursday and comes home on Thursday evenings so I cannot log onto this website until Monday morning.

Find yourself an old washing machine, or even better an old dish washer. (Garbage day is always good!). :hi: Both of these have electrically operated water valves. Washing machines have hot and cold connections, dish washers are better because they only have one (Hot) connection. (The valves don't care about the temperature of the water). Two seperate valves, one to fill the tank, one to empty it, both controlled by a simple electric timer. simple hookups, and just the cost of the (Two) timers if you find the valves in a junk pile. With reasonable care there should be no connection at all between the electric, water, and you. Using a Ground Fault (In the US) circuit protector wouldn't be a bad idea.
Lots of luck.

Hmmm... now there's one way to pass the time while one washes one's clothes. And an idea for a kinky laundromat.

The Washing machine Valve will probably work to fill up the drum as long as you can match up the tubing, the objective here is to regulate how fast the water goes in and out or in this case how slow it goes in and out. With the six, 5 Gallon buckets I fill them up with a garden hose one at a time and put the tubing from the buckets into an Enema bag, this is to regulate how much water goes into the Drum. The Drum is 31” high and 19” in Diameter. The tubing that goes into the drum is 7 feet long so when the drum goes up and down the tubing stays in the Drum. I found some electromagnets at a Scientific Supply store on the net that I can use and then hook them up to 2 separate timers. One to open and release the water and the other to drop the hose. I am afraid to use the Washing machine valve method for the simple problem of squirrels in the area that constantly get caught up in the power lines, and knock out the power in the neighborhood sometimes for hours at a time. During Ike the power was knocked out for 10 days. This would be a very long time to be tied up and might compromise ones well being. At least with the Electromagnet method if the power gets knocked out your scene will be cut short since it will drop the hose and might even fill up the drum at the same time if the timing is right. :D

Damn squirrels should become dinner ... But it's hard to catch them when you're hanging from the rafters!

I have only done it for around 5 min, I think if you do it longer you can do damage to your body. :(
Also I dont do this as self bondage, I always have a top for safety. :whip:
Have fun but play safe.............. :hi:

if you use any kind of electrical device, only ever use one that fails to safe when the power goes off. This immediately excludes washing machine valves etc as power is required to open them. You might find more specialist vlaves that select between two outlets, normally open and normally closed, ie when the power is off the normally open outlet is "open"!

A suggestion is to use an auto-siphon. To make one you need a tube that can safely form a "U" shape without crimping. YOu form a "U" that reaches to the bottom of the tank, and exits through the side of the tank a bit below where you determine should be the "full" level. The exit will need sealing up around the tube. The other end of the tube MUST be below the bottom of the tank in whatever position it can be in, so a garden hose or similar tied in to the drain would be good. What happens is that once the water level goes higher than the U, a siphon starts and continues until the water level is below the bottom of the tube in the tank. This is the same principle as the toilet flush.

But heed the advice on the length of time of suspension and the use of safe cuffs. I very recently spent about 20 minutes cuffed in an X shape, ie legs and arms out and stretched, receiving a delicious flogging, so my weight often came quite heavily on my arms. By the end, my hands were certainly not capable of much dexterity and without the Domme's help I would have been hard pushed to release myself even with a free hand. The cuffs were substantial, wide leather ones and not tight.
