depends on your body. Some people have stretched and trained their backdoor to swallow objects of amazing size, so can handle a toy that big. Those less into anal play would probably get no enjoyment from a toy like that as they'd never get past the first 1/4. If you force it you can certainly do (severe) damage down there. When it comes to that sort of thing, take it slow, use LOTS AND LOTS of lube and if it hurts, stop and back off, or at the very least slow down.

This look's like a trainer to me. Not meant to utilize the full 5 inches. It as much as says that it will not run out of diameter before you run out of flexibility.

I've played with butt plugs and trainers myself so I have a fair idea of what is safe and what isn't.

The cone shape here is fairly wide in increments so rather than you stretching beyond what you can take doing damage you will simply not move down much until you apply so much force that you could easily be considered the biggest idiot of the planet.

This basically means, if you put the butt plug in, and lets say you stretched a bit already and you get it down 1/4th but not more, now you use tape to secure it in place, you stand up, jump in the air and land on the plug to shove it in, then yes, you will definitely damage yourself. If you try to sit on it like that, and you are not severely overweight, chances are that you can just sit on it without it sliding in further. Will probably hurt in the process but is generally safe to do.

So it basically comes down to, it is safe when used safely. These plugs can't easily over stretch due to the angle of the cone itself. If you use a huge amount of lube, things may change slightly, so if that is what you're doing, be extra careful sliding down.

I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to fit the whole thing in. Note lack of a neck or separately flared base.
