What is considered dangerous to circulation?

Post by Zxarr »

Hi, I just wonder if it's dangerous to circulation to use a sweatband around both hands, pretty tightly. Can this stop circulation and make it dangerous, or would it probably be fine? (F.ex. sleeping with it on)

Depends on the size and make of the sweatband and the size of your wrists. Try it out for a while (before you fall aslepp, preferably) and if your hands go numb, tingle, feel cold or lose flexibility, then the sewatband is probably too tight.

My blood veins grow a bit larger, but haven't felt any tingling
(I actually managed to loose it while I was sleeping, I can't understand how :?:, had no chance getting it off while being awake :-P )

Hmm...I'm not sure if thats a symptom or not...I would double check before trying again...I seem to think that might be...?

If your veins grow larger, swell up, there is some degree of circulatory restriction. It's the same principle as a dam in a river - upstream, the level rises, even if some of the water gets through.

A throbbing feeling in step with your pulse is another warning sign.

are you using kiddiesized sweatbands ?

normally these wouldn't cause any restriction on circulation.
