Actually, nowadays a 5-day forecast is as accurate as a 1-day prediction in the early 70‘s or a 3-day forecast in the
90‘s.

But, there are a lot more tightly localized events nowadays than way back when
(Rain, thunder, sleet, etc in one part of the city; nothing a click away)

And that is what screws the perception off for a lot of viewers.

And yes, donald, that‘s a result of climate change.

Should I be able to tell from their eyes?
Bondage is like a foreign film without subtitles. Only through sharing and practice can we hope to understand.
A Jedi uses bondage for knowledge and defense, never for attack.

He has a very satisfied look in his eyes, while she's more in the "Oooohh... I didn't know it was that big..." (combine  with  ).

He's sending, she's receiving. Both gain something. A basic win-win situation. :D

Seriously though, I hope you are all safe and well in the severe weather 'bomb', that the media are reporting.

Stone warm - hot weather
Stone cold - cold weather
Stone completely white - it's freezing
Stone only white from above - it's snowing
Stone wet - it's raining
Stone dry - low humidity
Shade on the ground - sunny
Stone has cracked - lightning
Stone goes back and forth - the wind blows
Stone hangs at an angle - hurricane
Stone rises and falls - earthquake
Stone invisible - foggy
Stone lies on the ground - chain broken
Stone is gone - stolen
(Some extra added  )

Yes, I'm OK. I was out shoveling *twice* today, once in the morning while it was still snow, and once this afternoon after the rain stopped. That heavy, wet snow, especially the rain-soaked snow later in the day, really wiped me out.

But so far, it hasn't been the apocalypse the weather people were so histrionically and breathlessly predicting, like some crazy dude on a sidewalk with a sign with "sinners repent" crudely scrawled on it...

Maybe they should stop using their damned supercomputers and start using their brains to make weather forecasts. Before computer models (circa 1980 or so), meteorologists got weather charts and satellite photos and spread them out on a table, studied them, and took three hours to come up with a forecast, and it was bang on every time.

Since then, they just push a button and rattle off what the computer spits out.

My left leg can do a better forecast than those computer models.
