I highly doubt that this site was the target, we were just unfortunate enough to be located on the same servers as the intended target. A lot of sites was affected in the attack.

Well I wasn't insinuating that Anna or this site was necessarily the target. It just happen to reside in the server tower targeted. But then there ARE a LOT of "HATERS"out there, which is why most here prefer to be anonymous.

I am sorry about the recent downtime. It was caused by a crash in one of the "less important" parts of the forum database.

No data should have been lost and everything should be back to normal. But please let me know if something does not work or looks strange.

Is this only happening for me or have we experienced an increased number of database connection errors lately. They generally only lasts for a few seconds but are extremely annoying.

I personally haven't had any problems with the forum, though someone who looks over the forum more may have more glitches, i only check a few times during the day, and usually problems are my internet's connectivity trouble

nope, did not encounter any errors, and I usually have the forum open in a background tab and refresh it every once in a while, so I usually spend a lot of time here.

The last one I had was maybe a couple of weeks ago. I have noted that these database errors (SQL thingies if I remember correctly) seem to happen in clusters, i.e. I'll be experiencing several of them over a period of a few days, then everything's fine for up to several weeks.

Thanks for all the answers. I am happy that the disruptions does not irritate you the same way it does to me. Just remember that when there is a disruption to the forum it will usually only last for a few seconds.

(Bigger issues like a crashed database last longer as it requires me to fix it.)
