Pictures on B.A.

Post by Luckycat »

Hi all,

I was wondering why pics are not allowed on Bound Anna.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my belief that this site is
hosted outside the confining laws of the United States.

If that this is true, then is it only a matter of cost?
As a part time webpage designer, I work with a web host that
provides unlimited storage and bandwidth. In recent years
hosting, storage and bandwidth have become quite inexpensive.
And even it were a little more costly, I'm certain that if asked,
the members here would gladly contribute to the cause.

It's true that men are visual, but for me, being able to post
images not only serves as a way to explain my interests,
but also as a way to learn from others.

As many of you already know, my interests are primarily those
of an author, posting my tales here for you enjoyment. But I
often feel handicapped by not being able to submit pics that
would serve to elucidate my stories.

The presence of absence of pics on Bound Anna is not a critical
issue with me, and it certainly won't stop me from posting. But
still, I wonder how much greater the popularity of this site could
become if pictures were allowed.

Not to mention the fact that we have such excellent administrators to
police possible abuses.

I welcome your thoughts.

Cheers,

Luckycat

I didn't know photos weren't allowed (or maybe I haven't been reading the rules well enough... ;) )

Last I heard we always took faces out as respect for privacy. Some members alter the colors of their images as well to hide who they are, or wear hoods.

I know there is a no nudity rule (last thing we wanna do is open this page at work/home with children and see a penis flash up on the screen   )

Um...correct me if I'm wrong though

Pictures are encouraged here. Some people have a little trouble posting them, but all they need to do is ask and they will get help. There are some guidlelines, like the no nudity thing, and some size restrictions (more to make them load faster, and keep them easy to view).
There's a fine line between cuddling and holding someone down so they can't get away.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.

pictures are allowed in here. within the guidelines found in the rules.

however, there is no need to store them on this server, with the abundance of pix-hosts on the net.

let me recommend postimage.org for good thumbnailed service without
pop-ups or other scam.

There is no rule against posting photos in the forum. I have just decided that I want to keep the amount of photos containing humans on the boundanna.com / .net servers to a minimum. This is not because of any law as we are hosted in Europe . And this “rule” of mine is a bit elastic if the photos are “nice” and of high value to the forum.

At the current time there is no possibility to upload your own photos to the boundanna server but such feature could be implemented in the future. Meanwhile please use external photo hosts or in the case of drawings you can sent them to my email for local hosting. (This might take a few days.) There are plenty of free bandwidth available for us to use, at least on the boundanna.net server.

The main site have been kept relatively photo free because I personally prefer drawings. This will probably change in the future as well.

Lastly there is no need to contribute to the running of the site. The aim is that the site should be self financed through advertising banners. But feel free to offer your support to your favorite forum member. (Support does not have to be monetary, a simple thank you is often enough.)

The "no nudity rule" actually allows nudity (such as naked breasts) but not exposed genitalia or/and other areas that could be unpleasant to view.

Thanks you all for you views

I too disappove of vulgar images.
I maintain a test web site in the U.S. where I can
review my webpage designs privetly.

In the past I have used my space to upload pics
to forums like B.A. and have had problems with
the search engines finding images and text that
could be embarassing

So should you decide to host your own images, I
offer the following recommendations.

1. Don't name the photos with tell-tale names such
as 'bondage 1.xxx'. Use something like 'image 1.xxx' instead.

Place a 'robots no follow' script in your public_html folder.
This will help.
