just loaded another episode of "as expected", took ages for the upload, then received an "sql error" message, apparently listing all the words used in my post in alphabetical listing, and that the post had failed to load.
But it is there, on the thread
the forum does seem to have been very very slow the last couple of days, pages taking a good 30 60 seconds to load...and it isn't my internet connection

It's the same for many users, and it's possible that the problem is on the server side. Since Bound Anna is not the only site hosted on the server, it's more than likely that it's not the forum itself but the server it's hosted on. Congestion, server software or hardware problems are the most probable causes. Some times of the day are worse than others.

I have received an answer. Our host tells us that they are aware of the problem and that they are working on a solution so it will not happen again.
They also says that the source of this problem is usually that another costumer using the same server is running a bad script or command.
They ask us for a little bit more patience until this is sorted.

I doubt that it really is fixed. It will probably soon reappear with a vengeance. But lets hope it is fixed so I do not have to move the database.ponylady wrote:looks like the problem is fixed.
Edit: The good news is that I have newer seen the forum this fast before. The bad news is that it sometimes slows down and becomes very, very slow. It loks like the problem is not solved yet.
