Or is that a new logo?

NICE!

I am just playing around with the forum configurations and are testing tweaking some things. I am not sure that I really want to change the original logo.

I rather like the "ball gag" look.

Could use a bit of drool, though. :P

I was afraid of that. :(
As the logo is currently it will mess up the forum a bit for people who uses 800*600 or smaller screen size.

I have also started to make new additions to the main site to support a minimum of 1024 pixels wide so you might experience some similar issues there too.

I like it too and it was designed by ZantetsukeN. (Thank you!) More of his work can be found in the gallery section on the main site.

beauty is often found in simplicity.

in this case the font chosen is riminiscent of ropes, which makes a perfect match.

Anna, at this point, I'd stop worrying about people who still run 800x600. That resolution is beyond obsolete - pretty soon, new computers won't even have it as an option.

I agree with davisev5225. My "emergency" computer is an 11-year old Pentium 133 with a 32 MB graphics card and I don't run it at less than 1024x768. So even having an old computer is not an excuse.

These days, anyone who has a display of less than that is 99.99% likely to be in safe mode. :P

That is true but there are still computers sold who does not support higher screen width than 800. For example the Asus EEE 700 series of laptops. And if all needed to fix the problem is to shrink the logo by a few pixels then that is a cheap price to pay for making the forum accessible for everyone. At least for now.
