It works now but it probably was down. The downtime seldom lasts for many minutes but it is annoying. :(

The only problem is that the new host is just a little bit better. You can see this when the forum goes down because the database server does not respond. The only real alternative for a site and forum this big is running on a dedicated server and those things are expensive.

Well, out of all the times I've read about the forum being down, I've only caught it down once. So I do not think that is too bad a record? 8)

expensive being a relative term. you gan get a dedicated PIII-733 for about 5 €/month.

i have no idea how much BW this board consumes, but the free traffic & HDD space should cover it.

It varies quite a lot but right now I would say that the combined transfer of boundanna.com, boundanna.net and forum.boundanna.net reaches about 3 gigabyte per day. But sometimes it reaches over 5 gigabyte per day. This amount of bandwidth is absolutely no problem on our current hosts and we have plenty of room to grow.

mmm, so call that 90-150gb a month? not all that painful, bandwidth is cheap these days heh.

I should probably get a little better acquainted before I start asking what I can do to help, heh. :)

3 gb a day, to be fair, isnt much.. there are 3 different domains included there.

Im guessing that the boundanna.com uses the most due to all the pictures etc there
