I think the locks should be able to work. Not sure about the 1st lock device as I don't know the dimensions of the lacing holes on the hood, but from pictures they seem alright. Cable style lock works too but maybe less strict than the 1st lock system

Make sure you don't have any allergy before locking it. More importantly, someone on this forum almost suffocated in a hood like this as the nostril holes moved or got blocked. Make sure and test it thoroughly before trying to lock it.
Restrict one of your senses, you heighten the others. Close your eyes, you can hear better. What if you're unable to move, speak, nor see, yet only able to feel the pressure of the ropes tightly yet blissfully binding your body, how free must the mind be?

It looks like the collar has a buckle at the back so a small luggage lock would probably suffice.
Never confuse your ambitions with your abilities. If you can't free yourself, who will?
