Which Vacbed is better?

Post by BDSMandStuff »

I've been looking into purchasing another vacumm bed. The first one i had was good but i had some issues with it slightly. I have two links in here from EBAY on the two im looking at. Wondering if anyone has purchased the one from aqua latex before? The one from rubberpigs i have owned before but the latex eventually ripped after having to deconstruct the frame and take the latex off multiple times. The one from rubber pigs has no zipper, it is bottom entry and there is about an extra 10" or so of latex that hangs over. It includes a one way valve, but with no real way to seal it it seems pointless. Ive used it for self bondage and with another. I was looking for one that would seal up better so that i wouldn't have to worry about the vacuum overheating. The aqua latex one comes with a zipper but i don't know the quality of their product so was looking for advice. They are both around the same price shipped 300$ but wouldnt mind upgrading to a more expensive vacuum bed that is better if I could find one.

The one I used to own and am considering repurchasing -

I have one which I suspect is the rubberpigs one. The way I found to seal it is to get a 2m length of plastic 'overflow' pipe - stout plastic pipe about 20mm diameter - and cut it into two equal lengths. Wind the excess latex around one and attach the other to it with rubber bands or Velcro strips around the ends. Obviously this isn't feasible solo.

As to size, I went for the 1m width vacbed as it was a special offer but with experience I wish I'd paid the extra for the wider version as I'd rather have my arms spread than against my sides, which also makes it easier for a partner to straddle the occupant.

I have used various vacbeds and made one myself, out of clear PVC sheet.

A few points.

1: Zips are a pain. The types where you roll up the end over a tube and use a clip are a lot easier to use. No zip to break either.
2: I prefer a breathing hole. Other may like a tube or neck gasket. Personal choice.
3: Use a "wet and dry" vac. They cannot overheat as there is a separate fan to cool the motor.
4: Use a vac with variable speed. I use an external speed controller, a bit like a high power light dimmer. Then you can turn the speed down low for a nice quiet experience even if the seal isn't perfect.

DONT PLAY ALONE. EVER. The founder of Kink Engineering, who knew more about vacbeds than anyone, died because of a mistake while palying solo.

In the UK these people make good vacbeds at a decent price. I've used one of them and it's good: http://vacbed.co.uk/
You'll get something for udner $300 that's known to be good.

I've not used a Kink Enginering bed but their stuff is supposed to be the best. I'd order from them if I wanted top quality and was prepared to have it shipped from Canada to the UK. https://kinkengineering.com/

Anyone every tired one from aliexpress.com?

I'd guess it's a gamble just like everything else from there.
