The pillory is thick enough for a battery with an electromagnet to be used. Once the battery is flat I can free myself, if Shannon doesn't always replace the battery.

Your slowdown could be either your ISP throttling your bandwidth on your end, or it could be the intermittent slowdowns on Bound Anna's server we've been experiencing lately.
