are there any keyholders in central Texas?

Chastity is perhaps the ultimate in long term selfbondage.

how have you been looking?

tried munches? play-parties? FetLIfe?

to raise the game you need a real person, one you can meet, have direct interaction with, otherwise just use the "virtual" version but that is a very poor second.

Is there any advice on how to get up for the game, become courageous and make a call?

All I can say is that in my case it took a "significant birthday" (60) to push me over the threshold. I've been kinky for almost all my life, certainly from age 7, though I had no understanding of it then. I repressed it all, just indulged in a bit of self-bondage and occasional cross-dressing, and had a vanilla marriage with only very mild kink. I just decided I didn't want to get to (even older) old age and regret not trying "real" kink. So I took the step.

If I can do it, so can you. If possible, go to a Munch, that's what I did. A very friendly, welcoming non-judgemental group. I ended up organising the Munch for 6 years! as well as geting well-established on the local "scene" with play-parties, both open and private.

Most people who take that step wish they had done it a long time before. It's not that big a step.

Mister LJ, sir, one last question, and thank you for being so helpful so far. Might you know of a munch group, or be able to network, without too much personal exposure, to help Mister Tie find a keyholder through said munch group in Texas? Appreciate your help so far and good to see you again.

As a UK resident, I don't have any direct information on the Texas "scene".

If I was starting from scratch, I would try Fetlife.com first. It is an international site with a search engine. Joining is currently simple. You need an email address you are happy to use. Set one up with gmail or hotmail if you haven't. Then simply enter "texas" into the search box. I've just done that and there is a list of possible contacts. After that it is a bit of detective work. For example, if the search leads to a Munch, look to see if the organiser is listed, or message one of the more active posters. Then ask about the Munch. Most will be vanilla meetings in a bar, restaurant, cafe etc. NO obvious kink, so no risk of "outing" (unless you know one of the people there, in which case both of you are likely to keep very quiet about it - I have only met two people from the kink scene outside of kink in ten years, one a random meet in the street, the other because we both worked in the same building but didn't know it.)

If that doesn't work, try the LGBT groups, they are usually more tolerant of "alternative" sexuality, and may pass you on to someone in the "scene"

I'd be cautious venturing onto sites specialising in chastity, many "dommes" are simply after making a bit of cash for doing very little, as a "virtual" Domme.

hope that helps :)

Central Texas is a big area, are we talking about Austin, Temple, Waco, or San Angelo? Some of those areas I can ask some people for groups that might be able to get you out and find what you are looking for.

I remembered a friend of a friend who lives in Texas, did a quick run-through of their friends and found this

http://findamunch.com/category/location ... tes/texas/

it is an alphabetic list of munches by place-name in Texas. There are similar lists for just about everywhere world-wide!

do bear in mind that whilst you may be 60 miles from the nearest Munch, there may be a kinky group just down the road, who also say "but we're 50 miles from the nearest Munch" - but 10 miles from you !

Whilst I am in the UK, with a much denser population, I am 20 miles or so from the one I organised, 35 miles from the next one, 40 miles from the next one, and 60 miles from the next and I've been to all of them.

It's making contact that counts.

Don't think of miles. Think of travel time.

60 miles at highway speeds is about one hour, plus or minus. That is definitely not excessive, given the benefit at the end (meeting people, making new friends, contacts, etc.).

For that matter, I'd rather do an hour over the highway than an hour in traffic to get somewhere (and do things, evil or not - preferably evil  ).

Think of it that way - 60 miles sounds terribly far - but an hour's drive or so, that sounds much more doable).

But if you don't have a car, well, ignore this.

That isn 't even a "2 beer drive" by texas standards.
