Re: abbreviations
First, welcome to the forum!
As for abbreviations, I suspect there are a lot of those you refer to that are text message abbreviations. The meanings of most of them can be found by searching for them on the Web. Though we don't ban them we don't encourage them either. In fact they are not necessary. This is a forum, with more than 140 characters available for posts. You might see a few like LMAO or ROFL, but those basically can be defined as this
Jenny.

Welcome Mouse Ears!
Jenny wrote it perfectly.
There are some abbreviations and words used that I do not understand sometimes, often a deep thinking, some imagination or simply Google can give an answer to what it means. If those do not give any idea you are always welcome to ask with a post in the testing subforum or in this thread. The forum should be usable for everyone and if something is not clear it is best to ask. The only stupid question is the question that is never asked.

Re: abbreviations
FWIW (for what it's worth), BITD (back in the day) various newsgroups such as asb (alt.sex.bondage), ssbb (soc.subculture.bondage-bdsm) etc created FAQs, regular postings and the like.
I archived some of them at https://bdsm.spuddy.org/newsgroups/
There is an "Abbreviations FAQ" at https://bdsm.spuddy.org/newsgroups/ssbb ... 135761.txt
