That's a good article!

"but even men managed to stumble in with 66 total injuries"...

Probably a lot more men injured enfemme that went unreported!
exactly. I wouldn't exactly admit to what I was wearing if I got injured unless I had no choice
...and if the doctor tells you "it looks like you've been walking in 6-inch stilettos" then you can ask him how he knows these things. Maybe he'll start talking about his wife, his sister, an old girlfriend, you know, the usual answers....

But as Dosster said, usually, it's a backward fall when it comes to heels. I think I have performance tested more heels than anyone else here, for braking, handling, acceleration, and top speed. Shoe Goo (tm) enhanced numbers across the board. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=12533&hilit=shoe+goo#p90309

What is striking about the photo is how quickly the walking girl comes to the aid of her fallen friend.

Do they make skating helmets for bottoms?

Who said they were friends, looks like she is kicking her up the arse as she gets by.
I sense a catfight in the dressing room later.

Falling backwards is enough of a danger in skating or high heeling. Combining the 2, you may want to take out some insurance.

Oh no, I got it. But I was thinking, helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and an extra layer of cushion for the tushin' not only can't hurt, may save ya some inevitable hurtin'.

The falling doesn't hurt, it's the sudden stop at the end which has problems.

Air-bag panties, available in silk and lace.

With a level/inertia sensor. Bounce a few times before it deflates.
Or maybe just a coil spring tied around the bottom.
