SURVEY: Country + language

Post by housefan111 »

Just to get an idea of the cultural diversity on this board, post what country you are from, and what language(s) you speak. I'll start:

I'm from the U.S., and English is my native language, but I also speak German, and I can read Dutch and the Scandinavian languages fairly well.

How about you guys?

I KNEW it! The stereotypes ARE true!

I know a guy at work who's originally from Canada. I have heard him say "aboot" (it was more like "aboat"... but still!)

America's natural places are better!

Oh yes we do! There was a recent linguistic study that confirmed Shakespearean English most closely resembles the neutral American dialect. England diverged a couple hundred years ago! Ha ha!

He probably has Newfie roots. They talk funny, but at least they have a town called Dildo - and a South Dildo, just for double penetration...

So not only do we have the beautiful natural places, we're kinky too! 8)

And we beat the crap out of the Americans in the war of 1812.

Touche! As I've never been to your natural places, I'll pass judgment until I see them! ;)

I don't know where you've been in the USA, but I've never seen all the natural places here. Surely, there is so much more to see! (And they all look really, really good!).
