Mistress Jenny-
I guess I've been so busy getting ready to move across the country that it seems like a much longer time. Sorry for being so impatient. :whip: :gag:

I hope You have recovered from that problem, and that everything is going well again.

Dear Mistress Jenny, please, please please could we have the pictures back in this thread? No blame for the broken links, but a pinned thread looses so much value when the pictures have disappeared.

For any other would be corsettiers, I'd like to add that during my research on Victorian costume it was inevitable to find information on corsets. I have found the following links:

Pattern drafting: http://yourwardrobeunlockd.com/articles ... -drafting2

Making up a corset: http://www.foundationsrevealed.com/inde ... e-a-corset

Information on techniques: http://www.sewcurvy.com/corsetmakingtutorials.html

Hi All,
Just adding another corset source. Orchard Corset.
They are not custom made but the few I have purchased have a great fit for me.
I personally like the long version of the model CS-426
https://www.orchardcorset.com/

Watch for the sales. They tend to have a special every couple weeks and a selection of closeouts.

Here I found a video about how to make a corset

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiRtizje-b8

Ok, maybe it looks more like a wide belt but it's nice and easy to do :D

More like a waist cincher. If worn too tight, they're very uncomfortable.

Well, you should never exaggerate about squeezing too much, you could end up split in two

The wonderful thing about a real corset is the snug support it provides from the upper chest down to the hips. It's that support that makes it possible for us ladies to have a nice, tight waist (like the young lady in the photo 8) ).

That tight feeling is quite sensual, if not erotic if one's thoughts are not just as tightly controlled.

And you wouldn't believe what sex is like with a tight corset... :D

I only take my corset off for showers and baths. It doesn't even come off for sex.

I have sex with a corset on and I'm sure I'll faint from lack of air

Oh my, you make me quite curious now. But I must be doing something wrong: I have to put on my shoes before tightening a corset and breathing or eating capacity is somewhat limited =D

Nope.

Most definitely if they're not pumps or anything else you can just slip on. Even then, you probably could figure something out for zippers.
BoundInKasugai wrote:and breathing or eating capacity is somewhat limited
You got that right too. You have to learn to breathe upward and not outward, i.e. your chest will rise and fall (nice view when you have cleavage  ) instead of expanding outward.

A corset is also an excellent incentive to lose weight or change eating habits. Wolfing down one's food is no longer an option.

Thanks for the feedback Jenny!

Can confirm. Last year I had the opportunity to dress regularly and I lost a significant amount of weight. Unfortunately, now it's all come back and more. When people ask what has changed I have to make up excuses like having less time for the gym

To add to this already informative thread I'd like to add the following resource: https://www.araneablack.com/
Several different patterns including bunnysuit, historical and more modern styles and a wealth of information on things like drafting corsets, how to adjust patterns (from beginner to advanced level), how to alter an existing pattern to make it a hobble dress and loads more. And all available free (donations seemingly welcome). I don't know this person but this information deserves to be spread.
How may I serve you? *Curtsey*

I concur with the araneablack site, donated her $$ for her pattern(s)
Luv the bunny suit also.

Ralph pink has them for $$
https://ralphpink-patterns.com/collecti ... t-patterns

My fave https://ralphpink-patterns.com/products ... nna-corset

Had them printed out actual size at a local graphics printing place ~$5 each (huge patterns)

Only sewn 1.5 corsets so far..it does take a while.. ( old Pfaff 130 sailmaker & Babylock serger here)
