Spring loaded reed switch

Post by 19Hellothere83 »

One of my latest projects is a reed switch preloaded with a spring.
I will post all information (switch part numbers - 3d print files etc.) soon. The switch will engage when you pull on a rope . You can use nc or no switch depending on what you want to use it.
I am using it to switch a estim signal. I connect one side of the rope to a nipple clamp connected to my nipple one side to my foot in a unconfortable position. When i start pulling trying to get more confortable i will pull on my nipple and activate the switch stimming myself . Mystim stimbox can be set up at either painful or confortable level beforehand.

Butthe switch can be used for many other kinky purposes

Not sure I understand.

The switch is in the middle of a string/rope that connects between your foot and nipple?
When you attempt to put your foot down, not only does it tug on your nipple but it closes/opens a switch, that causes additional torment in addition to the pull on the nipple?

By the way, to me a 'reed' switch is something that is activated by a magnet. If you can apply a spring or rope to it, it is some other kind of switch.

I have certain ideas how it works, but look forward to your schematics.

Yes the magnet is pushed by a spring towards the Switch. When you pull the cord you pull the magnet against the spring away from the switch engaging it and therefore closing the circuit.
Sorry for the bad pics and drawings

If anyone wants to print it i can upload the stl to thingiverse

Cheers

Thank you. Nice work.
My idea was with a mousetrap vibrator.
With a copper thumb nail you make a "contact" (at the bottom of the figure).

The other wire wraps around the spring so that it makes contact with the brass thumbnail when the mousetrap closes.
Where normally the cheese comes for the mouse, you connect a string.

Immediately when the string is pulled, the mousetrap closes and the electrical circuit is closed, causing the vibrator (or something else) to start.

You can also firmly attach a small magnet to the spring with superglue and duct tape. Just next to where the thumbnail is, you put the reed contact aside from where the magnet lands. Immediately when the string is pulled, the magnet activates the reed contact, which in turn switches on your circuit (with arduino for example).

Who makes another version?

I think it's about time you threw out that cheese (especially if it's going for the mouse and not vice-versa...). A big clue: it starts moving under its own power.

*couldn't resist that one*

With me the mice get to eat the cheese from a golden saucer. I respect Jerry from "Tom and Jerry".

Which does not negate the urgency of disposing of the cheese if it starts moving on its own, especially if it looks like this:

(unless you're Sir Cumference, who's breeding all sorts of mutant beasties - I don't even want to know what's in his fridge... :hi: :P ).

Yes, I give the cheese to the mice before it grows into such a monster.
And if there is ever a piece of cheese left, I will forward it to Sir Cumference in time. So he can tame it.
He can easily catch it under his plunger before it is fully grown.

I got lost there with some comments ..
Mouse trap is a cool idea! But its a different device. While mine gets activated while pulling and will deactivated when the pulling stops the mousetrap stays engaged once it snapped... Do i get it right?

Bondage is like a foreign film without subtitles. Only through sharing and practice can we hope to understand.

Yes, and in that sense yours is better. Every time you stop pulling, the stimulation stops until you pull the cord again.

I wouldnt say better. Different. However I like the idea of a stable switch you cannot disengage... Maybe a reed switch wich will fix itself if pulled to hard ...

You could use your reed switch to toggle a flipflop circuit.

With a bit of circuitry aside you could even go for a monostable version, that can be put into its astable state for a given time and then automaticalky return to the monostable state.
You can even choose whether the stable state is on or off. So you may go for either punishment or reward as needed.
