From dog-shock collar to arduino/esp/raspi ?

Post by mre2206 »

I've been trying to study the dog-shock-collar electronics, but I'm no electronics engineer.

The pro's of the shock-collar is that you can regulate the intensity from 0-100, same with the vibrator.

The con's of the collar is that it times out after 2 minutes, and that you need a 433Mhz of something remote to control it.

Now for the kink-electro specialists under us, is it that difficult to disassemble some parts (which ??) and/or use its design as basis to make a cool little arduino/esp8266/raspi thing that can be programmed freely to shock from 0-100 or even vibrate from 0-100 ?

There is this little yellow transformer; how to control that (bypassing the rf433) if I'd just have that transformer plus battery, and a MOSFET I suppose ? any diodes, resistors etc needed? Maybe need a DAC for pulses? Between which ranges ? I don't have an oscilator/electro-experience/knowledge to find out, so hence the Q's here.

bit of a zombie thread resurrection here but these are interesting little toys.

If you search for Deviant-designs on the web (they are on fetlife and pornhub and elsewhere) they have easy schematic of parts and code to link this to remote via arduino and a very cheap 433mhz transmitter, then you can make all sorts of controls for a very easy pain interface
