Re: I am curious about what (unusual) gear you have?
I guess my most unusual gear is the stuff I've built myself: computer-controlled inflatable buttplug, electromagnetic wrist stocks, electric caning machine. And loads of software to control it all.

Re: Low-cost DIY caning/spanking machine
Intensity will off course rise when you drive the motor „harder“ by varying the PWM duty cycle, but does the level of current you „cut-off“ the motor does have a effect? Hi :) I'm afraid I haven't really experimented with that; The program just turns off the motor as fast as possible when there is ...

Re: Balancing Secure Self-Bondage and Emergency Release
So, what suggestions do you have for me? I have a pushbutton attached to the base plate of one of my electromagnetic cuffs. It is within reach of my fingers, but hard to hit accidentally. When pushed, it cuts the power to the maglocks, but also signals the system to send absolutely agonising electr...

Re: Heart-rate monitoring sports watch with realtime API?
t’s my intention to access the data directly using Golang on Linux. That’s how I’m controlling other devices like the Estim 2B box I love it :D I’d be fascinated to know what kind of automation / scenarios you have come up with? I use the HRM mostly in conjunction with my Bluetooth wearable e-stim ...

Re: Heart-rate monitoring sports watch with realtime API?
Does anyone know of a model where it’s possible to access realtime heartrate data from the watch somehow? All Bluetooth heart rate monitors (chest straps) implement the standard HRM profile and most transmit the information in the clear. They are much cheaper than a sports watch. I regularly use a ...

A hefty servo might well work too, albeit at much higher cost. Are you going to give it a try?Thub56 wrote:what about using a fast RC servo??

Re: Low-cost DIY caning/spanking machine
I use a BTS7960 27V 43A H-bridge that costs about €3 on Aliexpress. It is extremely robust and has convenient current sense outputs.ein888888 wrote:Sorry was refreting the the h-board I have not been about to locate one that i feel would work

Re: Low-cost DIY caning/spanking machine
any link to the board or the source code? The board I use is this STM development kit . Almost any other microcontroller will do fine too, as long as it has at least one AD converter. The code is based on a proprietary state machine framework, that I cannot share. I'm considering porting the progra...

Re: Easy spanking machine
Perhaps not with a windshield wiper motor, but a motor from a discarded cordless drill is at least as easy to come by.Selfsub wrote:It seems that it will not work.
And that definitely works (YouTube link).

Re: Low-cost DIY caning/spanking machine
Pretty well, I suspect, especially with light implements.Riddle wrote:I am curious about how a 60W, 158rpm, 24VDC motor would perform.
If it's a brushed motor, you can use the same H-bridge I have - the BTS7960, which can handle up to 27V and 43A.

Re: Low-cost DIY caning/spanking machine
A typical single speed "drill/driver" will have RPM in the 600-1000 range. A two-speed version probably has slow speed of 300-500 and high speed more like 1500-2000 RPM. Onwrikbaar, do you know what your donor drill was? If it's a common model, both speed range(s) and torque should be ava...

Re: Low-cost DIY caning/spanking machine
The stepper delivers its peak torque shortly after starting, and maintains a high level of torque through around 500 RPM, while the (presumably brushed) drill motor starts at its peak and falls off directly with speed. The latter does not seem to be the case. With the (heavy Delrin) cane I use, the...

Re: Low-cost DIY caning/spanking machine
Another approach that is well-suited to an ESP-based controller (or Arduino) is a stepper driver and motor, using the Accelstepper library to implement accelerations. This is a very reasonable thing to code. A simple but capable driver like the TB6600 (<$15) paired with a moderate NEMA23 motor (<$3...
