I built a wrist/neck stocks a long time ago, they suck I should build new ones as I learned a lot of things about how to suck less at building things. But instead I am building a set of ankle/wrist stocks because I saw a picture today with it and wanted them so bad.

I thought it was going to be easy to do in one afternoon, but the batteries in my drill are having a hard time with the huge hole saws. I got photos up of how I am building it so far and will continue to do so as I am able to finish it.
I think you should get a corded drill! Seriously, they have more power for those big hole saws (which really should be used in a drill press), and they never run out of power in the middle of a job. Cordless tools are great for small jobs, and in places where there is no mains power available, but you can't beat a corded tool in the workshop.
There's a fine line between cuddling and holding someone down so they can't get away.

this morning i decided to cut two more leg holes to reduce weight and provide options, and i forgot to put the batteries on the charger. so that is exactly what i did, went and got a cordless drill.

i do most of the dusty/smelly things up on the patio, everything else just in the main room on an old furnature pad.
I placed a padlock and flip latch near the wrists so that when the key falls they can be undone in self-bondage. The holes are still rough and sharp I plan to taper the holes. The foam padding is temporary too until I find better padding.
But now that it is this far I can test it to make sure it is worth continuing on (since i hate sanding lol)
