What do you people do with locks when swimming in salt water???
Corrosion is a problem, any alternative locks or ideas??
Looking to purchase a kink 3D device but I think the lock mechanism won’t last in salt water.
I know one option is to remove it to swim but looking for other options

I have a magnetic padlock that opens with a magnetic key.
But even that I don't really trust in salt water. It is waterproof, but the rubber around the link will be affected by salt water over time. And opening it in saltwater is completely fatal.
I would rather switch to other systems such as zip ties.

I can't say that exposing any lock to salt water is advised. If it enters and corrodes the key latch, the shackle bolt, or its sliding mechanism, the lock could be rusted into an inoperative state.

You can purchase these plastic one-time padlocks. They have a number on it and once you lock it, you can only remove it by cutting it off.
There's even a plastic version of the more common chastity cylinder locks.
If you do a websearch for chastity airport lock, you will find locks that are made of a material that cannot be detected by a metal detector because they are not made of metal. These are often salt water proof with the disadvantage that they may be forced open more easily.
