Does the poll update each year or does it stay where the age was when entered? As this thread is now over eight years old from start to date, just wondering.

Whether it follows time or not, it still gives a good snapshot of the age distribution of our members at any given moment, or rather at the time they voted (usually soon after joining). One could say that it's the age when a member joins (approximately).

Since no one can vote twice (I can't), the results are pretty stable over time.

Myself, I've changed age brackets twice. Yikes.

Time flies when you're having naughty (and evil) fun.

I was thinking the same thing too as far as updating our ages.
So far I've only jumped from one group to another, but it was from 'Old' to 'Ancient' so I guess I'm stuck there until I wear out!

I feel that in our line of work, age is as relevant as in any other...
- fluids
- fitness
- weight
- health, and so on might hinder a good(heavy/extreme...) session, but the ability to feel the endorphin/dopa-mine/... You name it is present in every kinkster.
I see this in the group of trail/marathon/ultra runners: once "infected", they're addicted to it, and do it till the very end...

looks like I'm in the minority at 3%, have been dressing forever and being tied up for even longer, and I still like a good canning while in bondage. but the following day every thing hurts.

Keep in mind that many of us have aged through our original group, in my case twice. I'm now in the final group, 65 and older. I started in the 56+ group.

It's fortunate that the group ends at 65. lol.

I have joined the forum in the 56-60 category, and I find the results of this poll really interesting. I have been tying myself up since childhood. I cannot exactly remember when it all started, it seems to have been more of a natural evolution of how I am. However, my kink has been a deeply secretive aspect of my life and indeed still is. I notice in the poll results that the younger age brackets score significantly higher than us "fuller-age" folk. I wonder if, and indeed like to hope, that this might indicate a great benefit of social media to those who are growing in their awareness of their kinky self? As a younger person, although in all likelihood I would still have remained well below the radar, the availability of a forum such as this, would, I am sure, have saved me so much feeling of being somehow odd because of this love of selfbondage, and lonely because I had no idea that such a robust minority of people also shared this way of life, and what's more...I can interact with them!
