No, I keep those separately.
Never mix toys and underwear unless you're wearing them!

Stunning as usual! And I am as envious as ever!

Here it is, on me, tightened to 21 inches:
Yes, it is damn tight, and can get much tighter (with time), but it's surprisingly comfortable (I spent a good hour in it, none the worse for wear, despite the tightness). And absolutely stunning to look at.
There are still some adjustments to be done, but I figure that it is about 99% finished. No steel rods yet, just pounded the eyelets a few extra times (curing the problem encountered the first time) and removed about an inch from the seam between the busk panels and the front side panels, below the waist, to straighten it out some ugly bulges somewhat. I will also have to reinforce the edges of the lacing panels, in the back, because the laces chafe the thin facing fabric and will eventually rub through down to the bone inside (not good).
I did a test, lying on the floor, face down. I simulated a hogtie by grabbing the heels of my shoes with my hands, then tried to struggle/squirm myself around, and to roll over. I could not move at all! In that position, it is similar to being trapped in a cast from the chest to the knees. In my normal hogties, which are pretty strict, in my regular corsets, I can still move my hips so I can get leverage to roll over onto my side. With this one, if I only use ankle and wrist restraints, pulled together into a very basic hogtie, I am completely immobilized.
So I can say that this corset has fulfilled its design goals, in both form and function.
Now you have your vintage Victorian porn, so you can wank off all you want (and it will have fulfilled your design goals).

Thank you all!Venom wrote:clean up or mop up?Robin wrote:Oh Jenny, it looks awesome! It was worth the wait, thank you so much. Now excuse me while I clean up the drool, this may take awhile.
very nice by the way
I have a few suggestions for cleaning up the drool:
- Shop vac.
- The fire department has some pretty good pumps.
- Try to find a surplus Russian rocket fuel pump. Those will drain a small lake in three minutes flat.
So the score so far in the poll is 47 for the picture, 0 against. To paraphrase Foghorn Leghorn, there's gotta be something yeeeee about someone who wouldn't want to see the picture.

Thank you very much! That is so uncommonly sweet of you!Grinser wrote:Nice view, absolutely. Looks quite well made, too. DIY abilities are indeed very useful to have. And a 21-inch waist is probably just as good a thing to have ,for a woman at least, that is.

Thank you, kate!kate wrote:Awesome miss You do realise now that you've started a fair number of people myself included on the idea of making their own too
Very well done
I would be very delighted to know that some of you have decided to do so, either through DIY or by purchasing one. Corsets are very common in erotica, bondage included. It adds a nice touch, and I can tell you that it feels absolutely sexy! I engaged in bondage before I started tightlacing, but it was the first time I bound myself tightlaced that was a real revelation, in that the sensuality (not just the strictness) of the bondage was multiplied.
So not only do my corsets give me a fantastic figure, but my bondage feels even more wonderful.

I've got two corsets, both made by a traditional english manufacturer, one made for a man (with the idea of wearing all the time, but it alters my body shape too much) and a red lacy one. I love the feeling of both, and are regularly worn.
I found corset dresses hugely appealing (something like http://www.adorecorsets.com/acatalog/Vo ... Dress.html) so this seams like a logical step.
Where this thread helps is that i had no idea where to start So i'll definately be trying to put something together this year

Oh kate, the red lacy one must be nice!
And the one you linked is gorgeous! And I noted the price! That is where DIY comes in handy... in just materials you can get by with 1/10 to 1/5 of the cost of the commercially made one. And it gave me ideas...
That's the one of the two main reasons why I make my own corsets; the other is sizing. It's a little nerve-wracking thinking about someone who hasn't seen you putting together something that has to fit perfectly, especially for tightlacing. Even if they're close, it's the hassle of going there, getting measured, going back for a fitting, and again to take delivery, etc.
But the cost is the most important factor. The fabric alone for my project here cost me a grand total of $20, taxes included, the rest of the materials (zip-tie bones, eyelets, lacing cord, thread) about $30 (the busk didn't really cost anything, I made it two corsets ago expressly to be able to transfer it easily from one corset to another).
So for a total of about $50, I have custom-fit, extra tight, extra long corset that would otherwise cost me well over $500 (very conservative) if I had it made commercially.
So you can imagine that over the past two years that I have been tightlacing, I made six corsets (three of which are "retired", i.e. they became too loose, and three more that are "active" at this moment, not counting the one here), which could have easily cost me anywhere from $2k-$3k commercially . All six cost me about $300 total!
This doesn't include the corsets I made prior to starting serious tightlacing (a half dozen, including a couple of experiments), and the ones that are planned (tighter).
Then there is a very positive gain that can't be bought: experience and the satisfaction of making something with one's own hands.
