Yeah, that could definitely be the case. Mine was definitely loose and if I tightened them before applying them, I couldn't open them far enough to grip. But once applied and turning them to fasten, the metal prongs could turn and still loose their grip.
This of course was after I already turned the prongs for better grip, so I might actually have destroyed my set with that action.
It didn't come with any manual so I didn't even know at first I could turn to fasten...
And it was bought on a sex shop where I usually buy my stuff, that has high-quality gear, not from Ali-Express, although I am seeing a new and interesting world there, which made me do my 2nd purchase on singles day (11-11)
