help with a CB2000 mod

hi i lost my CB6000 in a car crash few years ago ... was in the glove box and i was knocked out and didn't get a chance to get it back
someone got an interesting find.
Anyways i remembered i did have a CB2000 but turns out i am missing the locking pin ...
i could just order a replacement part ...
but i started thinking about it
i wanted to improve the design i want the pin to lock shut on tension without a padlock.
the idea being i will only be able to take it off when i am not turned on (and putting tension on the pin)
i think this is called a hitch pin?
can anyone help?
