Bristol has quite an active BDSM scene just over the bridge!
Tinatiedup is absolutely right, go to Munches, meet people, get to know them - and vice versa - build trust before you get tied up, and preferably do that in a "public" place like a play-party for your own safety. Some munches will arrange rope events or demonstrations.
