Hello!
I was going to buy stepper motors yesterday but got so confused about the spec that I need to get an answer to this first.
2 different stepper motors, quite close in size but with very different spec.

https://www.oyostepper.com/goods-40-Nem ... Wires.html
Both Nema17 but the first 1.33A and 22Ncm and the second only 0.4A but almost double the torque.
I can see that the resistance is very much higher on the latter but what's the catch?
Double the torque to 1/3 the current sounds a little too good to be true so what am I missing?

Aloha from Bound Anna, Lesliea
Bondage is like a foreign film without subtitles. Only through sharing and practice can we hope to understand.
A Jedi uses bondage for knowledge and defense, never for attack.
I am so smart! I am so smart! S-M-R-T!....I, I mean S-M-A-R-T!

Re: Stepper Spec?
You are missing the voltage rating. The 12V motor has more wire which means more resistance and more strength. My recommendation would be to use the 12V motor because it will be easier and less expensive to correctly wire, power, and operate.Lesliea wrote:Hello!
