Eye speculums?

Post by maglock »

Just wondering if anyone has considered or tried using Eye speculums as part of a scene either solo or with a partner?
I have fantasised about using them but I am unsure if there are dangers/safety issues surrounding their use, especially if solo.
For those who don't know, an eye speculum is a device designed to keep an eye open, such as this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BDeals-Lanca ... SwL5BZypyQ
If my head was bound in place and two eye speculums fitted to my eyes, it would then be possible to force myself to watch a movie etc and I would not be able to not see it.

Not being able to not look is a movie myth. You can always just look into another direction to not see the movie.

That said, I think using these solo is dangarous. If something goes wrong you can't naturally blink. For example if your eye goes dry, you can't blink to rewater them. If a fly lands on your eye, that definitely will be a problem.

I'm not going on... ;)

Don't mess with parts of your body that are essential to you for doing EVERYTHING.

I went through double cataract surgery 18 months ago and the last few weeks before that were hell. I voluntarily stopped driving so I wouldn't be dangerous to other people. Watching TV was almost impossible. Even coming here on the board was not easy. I had no choice but to endure it because it was beyond my control.

This is within your control. Don't assume that because you see it done in a movie or on TV, that it's safe. Your eyes are precious and delicate. Don't mess with them.

VR goggles are maybe safer alternative, although pricy still.

What's good in a fantasy, may not be good in real life...
But you are thinking...
VR is a good idea, but sure, close your eyes or look away... that could be a "problem"...
Something that monitored eye movement would be your best bet...
Close your eyes, or look elsewhere, then you receive a punishment...
Need a way to not trigger on blinks...
All advice is checked, re-checked and verified to be questionable...
Don't ask, we both wont understand the answer...

What about something like https://www.amazon.com/PowerLead-Mobile ... 00RIYSI50/

It does not force you to look, but you could not really look away being that they would still be right above your eyes.

I get motion sick way to easy so most of the VR or head mounted screens are going to be out for me.

If you watch the classic film 'A Clockwork Orange' you'll notice in the scene where the protagonist is forced to watch a movie that a nurse is constantly dripping artificial tears into his eyes. Dry eyeballs could lead to permanent cornea damage.

There are devices that use IR camera or Laser for eye movement detection.
I'll see if doable as I'm interested myself (kink-less applications, sadly...).
- Eyeball movement detection within 5-15 degrees precision
(could easily detect if You look away...)
- Blink detection is accurate enough for drivers - they differentiate between normal blinking and drowsiness.
(would let You blink but punish on eyes shut...)

A whole new Universe reveals itself here!
(Yes, good reference

Not to sound like a broken record.... but.... I too had eye surgery, mine was LASIK. Both eyes in one day. Eyes held open with the speculum, and cleaned/ scrubbed with what looked, sounded, and FELT (yes, to fit in with my usual luck, the Numbing drops did NOT do their job on 1st try.. and the) like a dentist's air powered toothbrush. They were adding drops every few seconds, and I still felt like I was going to die. My head felt like it had been hit with a cinder block for three days following the surgery. And that was done by trained professionals. Sooooo. Not a good idea. You don't want to lose your eyesight over a 10 minute "good time"...

I have read stories about a hood with built-in screens, so you could watch as the scene unfolded. How cool would it be to be bound by your own doing, and be able to watch, as if it were on TV? If you had 2 or 3 cameras, set to display randomly into your goggles, if you had to rely on the screens to free yourself, that may prove VERY interesting..

Sweet :) though pricy!
I love the idea of watching myself from a third person perspective via vr goggles and perhaps try and solve a puzzle of some sort to get out while watching myself from a third person perspective. Could be made more interesting perhaps by adding a time delay between the camera(s) and the video goggles.

Oh, that sounds awesome. I can already see how one would use one of those Phone 2 VR head thingies, then setup a webcam, and make it so the phone sees everything the cam sees.

Then, you go fully naked, bound in very strict bondage. Before you lock your arms, you make an obstacle course with possible painful objects on the floor that you can navigate around. At the end of the course, a box optionally with puzzle appears where you get the key to unlock yourself.

Now comes the kicker. Before you put on that final lock that traps your hands and you need that last key, you put on the VR Goggles/phone thingy, and then lock yourself in.

Now, you see yourself fully naked and in bounds and you can't see what you normally see. So you have to navigate your obstacle course while seeing yourself in the 3rd perspective, being distracted by how beautifully bound you are. ;) Good luck. :D

a virtual out-of-body experience... that sounds pretty cool! Combine that with google's deep dream generator (search youtube for 'deep dream video'!!!!!) and that might get really trippy...
