my favorite is still the DS9 one that featured the timetravel back to "trials & tribulations".
jadzia modeling uhura's digs was priceless.

anyway, IMO the screenwriting was never better than in DS9 season 4-6. that was incredible stuff, mixing the dark conflict with changelings and the lighter, humorous character interaction seamlessly was an emmy-worthy effort.
(who can forget jadzia & worf knocking on sickbay doors after a holodeck-lovesession,

DS9 did have some great characters. Worf was always a hoot, and there was Quark and his crazy shenanigans (and the rest of his inept family). The other series did have some good characters too, Data and Worf in TNG, the holographic doctor in Voyager...

My heart is still with the original series, Scotty being my favorite. When he showed up in TNG, that made me smile.

Now this is quite a thread hijack!

what seperates ST from other franchises is their quirky sense of continuity. using cross-series appearances to add a layer of familarity for the casual viewer, while at the same time treating it with a blink of the eye to remind the hardcore fan to not take it to seriously.
