Actually, I think there is a limit to the number of characters. It's somewhere around 60,000 and the only place you're likely to reach that is in the long story section.
I gave up because of the text speak too.

Ok, I should have said no limit for a normal sized post. Obviously there are limits that may be hit if someone is posting a story, and really long posts need to be broken down into chapters or multiple posts.

This post didn't come close to those limits, and sadly, I'll never know what it was about.

I also have a lot of difficulty reading text-speak in long messages (I gave up too after the first couple of lines). This type of abbreviated vocabulary is designed for text messaging and other short messaging formats, where the limited character count (140 or 160?) limits the agony to a line or two of text.

But this is not suitable at all for a forum format, where there is both the room and the time to compose something coherent and easy to read.

So, please, please, people, take the time to type it all out in plain language. Even of your English isn't perfect, even that is easier to read (and thus easier to share with everyone here) than text-speak.

Well I made it all the way thru the story, had to go back and forth sometimes to figure out what was meant.

It is really an interesting story, am waiting for the next chapter. Yes, text reading is hard to read unless you are reading to 20 to 50 times a-day, as some texters I know do.

Hi,sorry for the text speak, maybe some people are not familiar with that, should've realised though it's not too hard to follow. & forgot that not everyone here is English & capable of reading that way. As for the txt speak, it was not a problem. My girlfriend is just a youngan and at first txt speak was really annoying, but i can just read it now.

In New Zealand( where I am ) you can use txt speak in the school exams for every subject except "English". Its becomming the norm here
