Images that made my day

Must have had a bad connection to upstairs, ....hadn't completed the ark before the floods came . You just can't get reliable shipwrights like Noah anymore

As an after thought, apologies to and sympathies to our Texan and Louisianian Members, Probably not a good time to be discussing floods judging from the news reports we are seeing. Our Thoughts are with you.

Yes, I know a few people in Texas, and they are having a ROUGH time there right now. When daily rainfall is measured in FEET, not inches... All I keep thinking is if we got 3+ feet of rainfall in winter.... 1 inch of rain= roughly 1 foot of dry snow...... so 36 or so feet of snow, In one event... we would be done for...

i want to thank you all for your concern over the people in Texas.as of this afternoon the most of the storm has moved out and now we are left with the cleanup and repairs.
that alone will take months.

Re: Images that made my day
Well, hopefully things are looking up over there in Texas.... I see there are a couple more storms looking like they may be something, let's hope not. We had actually planned on being in Austin this past week, for our yearly vacation, but due to a lot of things, we ended up staying around here.. Good Luck!

For those that get it, no explanation is needed. For those that don't, no explanation is possible.

Re: Images that made my day
What's really funny is that the domed building on the left still has its lights on (despite the nuke's EMP, the blast wave, etc.).
Reminds me of the scene in the movie 2012 where everything is being violently destroyed by earthquakes, tsunamis, etc... and cellphone service is still working since they're all saying tearful goodbyes to each each other over their phones...
Now the real question raises itself: what country is worth the trouble of going to war with if they nuke us?
<Moderator Hat>
No politically polarized comments please. I also have nukes.

Re: Images that made my day
It's actually possible for the entire building to be constructed to function as a Faraday Cage, even with windows. If it also had its own power source (generator, geothermal, etc.), then yes, it's possible for the lights to still be on. Definitely far-fetched, but possible.bound_jenny wrote:What's really funny is that the domed building on the left still has its lights on (despite the nuke's EMP, the blast wave, etc.).
Also, you don't need politics for this to be truly idiotic. You can use the name of any President post-WWII, and it would be just as absurd. OF COURSE WE'RE GOING TO WAR IF SOMEONE DROPS A F*****G NUKE ON US!

Reason: Right on the edge of political - I made it more neutral so no flaming starts from this. To be sure, I WILL delete every post from the nuke picture on if this political crap continues. Clear?

Reason: Sorry about that, Liz. Too political.
