Re: Images that made my day
I thought it looked like a 1987 Toyota Supra, but the rear windows were kind of wrong. Made my day last time. Gonna be doing lots of plowing, throwin' and blowin'. And maybe after I finish removing the snow from my property, I will get to have some fun.

The proportions are are all wrong.
Maybe not fake news but botched news...
But realistic nonetheless. Enough to fool a cop on his beat looking for a parking ticket holder.
You wouldn't believe the amount of snow we've had so far. And the number of bouts of freezing rain... Put down salt and stones, finally get the walkways clean, and a couple of days later more *bleep*ing freezing rain turning the whole kit and kaboodle back into an ice rink... GRRRR...
Followed by a deep freeze down to -20C or -25C at night every night for at least a week. Nice, hard ice.
I usually get just fed up with winter around New Year's.
This year it's an intense, deep-seated hatred...

Can't you all just send some of that winter our way. It's hardly frozen at all this year and it has now been 20 degrees Celcius in *bleeping* February. I know we live in a sea climate, but this is just ridiculous. We haven't really HAD a winter.
How may I serve you? *Curtsey*
Re: Images that made my day
What's most concerning is those anomalic/extreme weather occurences
Are increasing in frequency & duration.
Btw: scientists found a way to turn carbondioxide into coal @ roomtemperature,
Using an Elektrolyt solution, liquid metal & electricity to flock out pristine
Coal that could be used as condensators in e-engines.
The procedure works in industrial scales, too.
So there is a real possibility now to not just reduce co2 emissions,
But actively remove the gas from our atmosphere & slow down
Global warming.

Am I causing problems again? I didn't mean for a Delorean in Montreal to cause a global warming debate........That image just got me through my last snow storm. Thought it might lighten the mood around here.

It has, in fact, nothing to do with specifically you or your post, Shannon. This is simply a perfect example of one of our mods high-jacking a thread. It's a standard procedure around here!

I always wondered, why we don't have a TOPIC icon that looks like a skull and cross bones pirate flag. The original poster would have the ability to change the icon to that if they feel their thread has gone off the rails. I don't mind though, we all have fun, and I encourage that. Thanks for the response B.

WARNING: Nothing funny in this post!
Anyways, there's still the need of at least 393,8 kJ/mol of CO_2 (Standard formation energy of carbondioxide) turned into solid graphite and gaseous oxygen.
While that may not seem much, it is an enormous amount of energy, actually. Simplified, the reverse reaction (C + O_2 -> CO_2) is what fuels life in every single animal, most bacteria, basically any form of life that does not use photosynthesis.
The idea as such is still very interesting. BUT:
As long as the energy for the decarbonization of the atmosphere is "produced" using oil and coal it's simply a joke.
And that's where politics and lobbyism enter the stage, which is exactly the reason for which I will leave it here...

Oooookaaayyyy....
I believe it's time to stop this type of hijack (not entertaining AT ALL) and return this thread to its regularly scheduled rib-tickling nonsense.
If you must hijack this thread, may it be full of hilarious nonsense like most other thread hijacks on this board. This is sound advice from an expert at thread hijacks.
And just in case this unfunny nonsense continues, I'm also an expert with this
If you will excuse me, I have some ribs to tickle.
Jenny.
