Hi,
does anyone know of a CD Tray Opener software for a MAC, something that will open the CD Tray after a particular amount of time? I would love to use this for sb scenarios.
Thanks!

Open a terminal window. Type the following:
Replace the '1' with however many minutes you want.
Code: Select all
echo "/usr/bin/drutil tray open -drive 0" | at now + 1 minute

Just be careful and have some backup methods for your scenario. Play safe!
For sbbj software, the 'release' method is run at the scheduled time, every minute after that just to make sure, and on program shutdown, in case some other application asks it to close (like windows requesting a shutdown, theoretically). Computer and program crashes always remain an possible issue and I have no idea what you can do with Automator to prevent these issues.
