Sorry if this topic has been brought up before, and I am sure it probably has.
Anyway, Jessica has been nagging me to get her some shoes.
I haven't yet because I don't want to be seen trying them on or holding them up to my feet for comparison.
Anybody know somewhere I can find a chart or something so I can figure out what out size is?
I wear a size 10 mens, if anybody can tell me right out what that is in a womens shoe.

Re: Shoes
my men's 9.5 to 10 turn into a solid 11 in the Pleaser brand of shoes. if i recall the rule of thumb is like add 1.5 to 2 to the size.

Re: Shoes
Hi lbh, from the sizing chart at Pierre Silber, a US mens is equivalent to a US womens 12

Easy-peasy: draw an outline of your foot on some cardboard, cut that out, and slip it into the shoe/boot at the store. Use your hand to simulate the thickness of your foot.
Don't forget that men's flippers are generally wider relative to length than women's dainty tootsies.

Do you wear a 10 medium width? If so, you might be able to pull off an 11 in some brands.lbh_self_bond wrote:Sorry if this topic has been brought up before, and I am sure it probably has.

If you're a 10 wide, then you'll have to go women's 12 for sure.
But LikeRa was correct in saying that the general rule is that the difference from men's to women's is 1 1/2 - 2 sizes. That's pretty widely accepted (in U.S. sizing).
(I skip 11.5 because, well, good luck finding that size in 90% of shoe styles made haha)

Re: Shoes
Well. this morning on my way to work, I stopped by Wal-Mart to see what shoes they had (this was like five in the morning so I knew they wouldn't be busy).
This one type of shoe they had was about 12 bucks and was at least a four inch heel.
But the largest size they had was 11.
So I tried it on, and it was actually too big.
So I tried the 10, and it acually fit.
So when I get up the courage, I think I will get a pair.

Re: Shoes
Beware the Wal-Mart sizes! They can differ by as much as two sizes from the actual standard, usually being too large.
I have learned that the size that is stamped in the shoe or boot there means nothing and I have to try them on to find out if they fit.
