What makes for a good purse?

Post by speedy-j »

I’ve been thinking of buying a purse/handbag but not too sure if it should be big or small and for what occasion. So what are some good tips when buying your very first one?

Try matching it with other accessories you're wearing (belt, boots, shoes). Every time I go to the shoe store, the girls sell me a bag to match what I've bought.

Occasions dictate also what purse/bag to have. Going out to a party, you'd want a smaller bag or clutch to hang on to your essentials (keys, makeup, ID, money, etc.). You can put the small bag inside of a bigger one if need be.

Capacity is a must. Go for bottomless.

Weight capacity is also good. Once you start putting things in there, you'll find it will get heavy.

Heavy is good, because it has a lot of intertia - once you start swinging that sucker, even a human head won't stop it.

Volume is important. Some essentials could be bulky. Look at a bag that can expand to accommodate without looking clunky.

And don't settle for just one bag. You need one for every occasion/excuse. :hi:

spoiler: ever wonder why we take so much time to get ready?
