what are your other hobbies/intrests

I am really big into philosophy, especailly eastern philosophy.
I read books on Taoism and Budhism, especially Zen Budhism.
Although, selfbondage and zen meditation aren't really that far removed, and the late David Carradine once supposedly said.
Also, I believe that our very own Jenny shares this belief.
I also practice tai chi and chi kung sparatically.
I am thinking about starting some sort of martial art, but I think I might be too old for that.
I am also learning how to speak Japanese, which is a slow process.

let's see, i used to have so many hobbies:


basketball, collecting comics, movie billboards, tradingcards, actionfigures, betty page memorabilia,
books (fiction/non-fiction), hacking porn-sites.

but nowadays it seems my hobby is my little one (9 year old daughter). she demands most of my
free time (not that i'm complaining)

I like to play guitar and competitively pick locks (locksport look it up). Yep a mistress might get very angry with me

Too many hobbies, too little time.

Here is a list in no particular order. Some I just dabble in.
To start with the obvious, The two main topics of this forum
Woodworking, Building, Plumbing,
Computer hardware and programming, Micro design and programming,
Analog and digital design,
Gardening, Auto repair and upgrades
eBay buy/sell, Photography, Swimming, Bicycle riding,
Old Infocom games. Sewing
Music, Golf (a little),
Reading a good book and getting away from it all.

Less now but I have done a bit in the past
SCUBA, Snow and water Skiing, Snowmobiling, Bowling

I am sure I missed one or two.

spending time in the workshop, I was a Snap-on tool dealer way back and ended up with a nice collection of automotive tools also was in welding sales for many years so there are 3 welders in the shop and haveI a pretty extensive woodshop as well. Biggest problem is finding time to do my projects. The honey-do list is endless. also enjoy boating and trailer camping. Big winter project will be rebuilding my 1995 ford F-250 diesel pickup it needs front end work and both winches need rebuilding and the Maine rust has eaten the front fenders.

Maybe your hobbies really are for relaxation.

Me, I use my kinky predilections as relexation; my other big hobby is Skydiving.

I found that the rush of jumping out of an airplane can easily outdo any SB high.
So if anyone on the forum is looking for a dare; try "the big drop" scenario at least once in your life!

oh...and my other hobbies are summarizing Proust, strangling animals, golf and masturbating.

I think it's time I break my lurking streak and post a bit more on this forum, since I do love you guys soo very much.

I used to be a World of Warcraft addict admittedly. But after it ate most of my highschool and college social life I gave it up, been 'sober' for about half a year now. I've always loved making and editing movies and I wish I could say I helped produce the latest blockbuster but alas, i'm stuck to independent shorts with my friends. ^^ But hell, I still love everything about it from casting, directing and storyboarding to filming and editing the final piece - i'm no good at acting but I do quite enjoy that too.

I'm a bit of a photography muppet aswell, I don't set out to "capture the sun perfectly illuminate a lone tree branch in the February winds." I just like really high quality pretty things to look at.

I don't really consider gaming a hobby, but looking at my many stacks of cases scattered about I suppose you could say it is one.

Since i'm useless at selfbondage I do consider it a hobby aswell. I love it, but I suck at it. Haha! ^^

Well I do lawncare and landscaping for my work, but for hobbies I am a Computer Geek, I have 3 that run full time (not including the 2 laptops) and I am now starting to discover metal working. I have a project I am working now, Its a 3 wheeled bike. powered by a 5HP briggs go cart moter (50CC chainsaw wasnt enough) and I am starting to make steel cuffs and collars. (see thread titled "I make things"). other than that I have a boring life.
