Need a decent tablet

I do a lot of my browsing and posting here, whilst on lunch break. The problem is, people are sometimes buzzing around my desk like mosquitoes. Constantly watching for, and avoiding them is making this habit tricky, sometimes not even possible. Any recommendations on current tablets, maybe a good refurbished model with some performance, that does not require a data plan? Appreciate it.

If you arent looking to spend a ton, an Asus one X is really good. I use one for school, and it handles everything beautifully. I even use it as a digital sketchpad and write java scripts on it. They are fairly cheap but powerful.

Do you have a store link to this? Having trouble shopping for it. And of course, shopping by lowest price always starts off with cases and screen protectors. Thanx a bunch

At work I use a chromebook for personal web surfing, WiFi tethered to my phone so it's not spied on. You can get refurb'd ones from places like woot.com for under $150. When you need to hide what you're doing just press "search" and "L" (effectively ALT-L) and it'll immediately lockscreen.
