We have a nice thread with modified, regular furniture.

I thought about putting this picture there, but there is very little "regular" about it, and the purpose is not exactly hidden.

I wonder if it is for real?

Considering there are people who turn coffins into beds... not too far out in left field...

In the 'instructables' link there is a drawing which shows grooves in the posts for the stock to slide up, so it might be functional to a degree, but I don't see any way to lock the stock. And if sturdy rings were mounted on the posts, it would suggest horse hitching posts for a rustic look. (Horse hitching posts indeed! )

A little added work could make it fully functional, and it would blend very well with country/rustic furniture.

This reminds me of the fantastic Roissy Workshops bed.
It was a double bed and the head of the bed was about 6ft high with lots of holes in it for rope work. The base of the bed had a full set of stocks. For ankles, wrists and head. All of the slats for the stocks slide in the posts so you could have a range of configurations.
I can not find any pictures of it online currently however the same bed used to be available at MsDemmies dungeon The Edge in North Devon.

The prices...WOW !!!!, I could buy a new pick-up Truck for the price of the bed.
The holes are a little to high for you to be in bed and in the stock at the same time.

I'm afraid Lady C would not consider it to fit in with appearances and the bedroom decor.

But yes, the prices are high, and the functionality seems to be low.

Not to brag, but here is the best in the business. I have built just
about everything; and most was able to break down for storage
with few if any tools needed.
I could build you a bed, with a stock feature, and you would never notice
it unless you where in the stock itself.
