A small update , the ice lock did hold me in a hogtie for 1 hour and 20 minutes , and happy whit that so if i add some isolation i hope to hit 2 hours

Please add some more details.
Do you just stand it upright, fill it with water and insert the rod?
Then freeze it?
Will it release faster under tension?
Or is it just for dropping a key?
Look into tube insulation in the DIY store.

It looks like a great piece of work. I'd be interested in those details as well. Also I'd be interested to know how big it is.
