This might be useful to make a time lock safe or similar application. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m_IvyvYQj0. There is a 12 volt version available so there is no need to be messing with mains voltages. They seem to be available on Amazon and Ebay. Some of the writeups suggest that you cannot program a single day except Sunday, but this video seems to show that you can choose any day. If you can arrange for the power for the safe combination lock to go through the relay on the time switch, you will not be able to unlock the safe unless the time switch is on. It will need to be powered by an external 12 volt supply, but it does have an internal battery back up. The only problem is that you could easily make a mistake programming it. They are quite cheap if you are prepared to wait for delivery from the far east. What do you think?

EDIT - I am not absolutely sure that the safe will remember the combination if it is unpowered so check. If that is a problem, you need to intercept the power from the combination lock to the solenoid. With this arrangement you need both the time switch "on" and the combination. An alternative scheme could be to fit a small push button on the outside of the safe which will change the power source for the solenoid from the combination lock to a direct connection from the battery via the time switch. That way, you can either open the safe with the keypad or, if the time switch is "on", you can press the button and open the safe. You need a push button so that the power from the battery is only momentary, otherwise there is an danger the battery will go flat before you open the safe.
